Me: The best way to carry water is in your body.

How I know I’m getting closer to Savannah (Taken with instagram)
I want a notification from Mint.com saying, “Good job on returning those super-trendy, but not at all useful pants!” mostly because Mint is super...
I’m mostly looking forward to my next birthday so that I can say “nobody likes you when you’re 23” all the time and cement my awfulness.
I slept in a bed with four other people last night. It was the best night’s sleep I’ve had in a month.

Lana del Rey - Off To The Races
Fuck it. I’m all about this shit.
I almost feel like I should apologize to myself for loving this song. It’s not a matter of popular opinion, wherein the things I keep reading (why do I keep reading?) tell me I should hate her because she’s inauthentic, because she’s too campy, not campy enough, because she can’t convincingly play the role she’s assigned herself, because Interscope has made her just another rich kid pop star. It’s just not good. From the weird almost-rapping to the interjections like “sorry bout it” (ugh- these are among my biggest issues with Taylor Swift as well…I may or may not ever get around to writing my comparison about them), it’s bad. But somehow it reminds me enough of other things I loved but can’t quite place that I love it too. I almost feel guilty for feeling guilty about liking it, because I should be past that by now (I’ve whole-heartedly embraced Ke$ha and Katy Perry, after all). The lyrics, though. Oh god, the lyrics.
I’ve got to stop talking about her because everyone else on the internet already did it better.
NPR kind of said how I feel about LDR. I don’t get why everyone hates her, she sounds just like all the other pop people to me?
